The last time I visited D.C. was in college, when I stayed with friends at Georgetown University. I immediately fell in love with the city – the history, its beautiful architecture, the quaint streets, and the colors of fall (coincidentally my last trip was also in November). But this time was different. It was quiet and reflective, instead of simply chaotic and hurried. I intentionally left my schedule open, to accommodate for those leisurely afternoons that I’m usually too busy to enjoy. The weather was unseasonably warm (it hovered at around 70° for most of our stay), which meant that we walked everywhere, which was kind of necessary given the amount of food we consumed.
