Valentine’s Day Stationery
February 9th, 2012
A couple of days ago, my friend Brittany (from Walnut Paperie) came over for a little card-making session, just in time for Valentine’s Day. I think certain aspects of the Hallmark holiday are lame (like over-priced dinners and red roses), but I’ll never tire of making pretty notes to give to friends. She came prepared with beautiful card stock, heart cut-outs, glitter in every color imaginable, watercolors (such a fun, unexpected touch), hot pink twine, and sparkly tape. Here are a few of my favorite cards we made, and you can find the templates to make your own here.
P.S. Here’s a tip I learned from a reader: an easy way to remember the difference between stationery (writing paper) and stationary (standing still) is to think of the ‘e’ for envelope!

Thank you very much, you inspired me so much with these cards, I made some on my own for friends and of course my boyfriend.
I’m planning to tell about them in my new blog!
Thank you for your blog, very inspiring!!
Those are lovely! I now want to make some! Very cute! The spelling tip is cute and useful! =)
These are so cute. My fav is the spotted one with the single glitter heart. Just perfect. Ever thought of designing your own stationery? xx

Wow! If I wasn’t home with the flu, I would definitely let my 5th graders know that! Those are two of their spelling words this week! Thanks for the tip!
