Trend Tracking – Part 1
Fashion is always changing, but one thing that remains constant is the need for new trends. I don’t buy into all of the fads that emerge, but I do like to keep my look current and thus, am always trying to find that perfect balance. Based on several requests from my lovely readers, I’ve put together a three-part series of some of the trends that are winners in my book.
1. Dark Nails
(OPI “We’ll Always Have Paris,” “Parlez-Vous OPI,” and “You Don’t Know Jacques!“)
Painting my nails in deep purples and grays is such a glamorous way to add a bit of edge to my everyday look.
2. Gold Jewels

This season, I’m all about stacking pieces of gold jewelry. The more textures and shapes, the better!
3. Lace-up Boots

4. Bright Tights

I’ve just recently started experimenting with tights in different colors. They’re such a great way to make your legs a focal point, even when the temperatures start to dip.
5. Fringe

I love how this flapper-inspired look is making a comeback and when worn around the neck, it adds just the right amount of flair.

I love the new OPI French collection, though Baguette me Not is my favourite from it. Gold is wonderfully warming on certain skin tones, especially if your uber pale, like me

(b) i had to actually buy a MEN’S watch and get 4 links taken out last winter. Women’s watches are too delicate looking for me.

I have loved rocking the dark nails and gold jewelry lately, but I have yet to find the perfect pair of lace up leather boots. The hunt continues!!!
I think I have all those OPI colors ..lol. I like to bring my own to the salon so I can do touch-ups when they chip. Another great one …with some sparkle -which I don’t usually go for but is fantastic-is “have you seen my limo”
I am totally jumping on the dark nails bandwagon, after seeing yours. And I’m glad that gold jewelry has been making a comeback, because I have more gold than anything else!

I’m really loving lace up boots as well. I found some a couple weeks ago, a vintage pair that laced up half way almost like an oxford/boot. Sounds weird but they were very cute! Too bad they were a size too small!
My favourite part of coming to winter is the boots and scarfs-always on trend, yay!

i have yet to hop on with the dark nails trend, but i may have to check it out soon. the look is definitely growing on me.
I like the tights and the boots. I wore things like that twenty years ago, so I guess some things never change.

I’ve been looking for a good gold watch for about two years now. I just want a Timex, to be honest. A matte one, nothing shiny. I say this as I stare at my plum fingernails, typing away:)
