Trend Tracking – Part 1
October 21st, 2008

Fashion is always changing, but one thing that remains constant is the need for new trends. I don’t buy into all of the fads that emerge, but I do like to keep my look current and thus, am always trying to find that perfect balance. Based on several requests from my lovely readers, I’ve put together a three-part series of some of the trends that are winners in my book.
1. Dark Nails
(OPI “We’ll Always Have Paris,” “Parlez-Vous OPI,” and “You Don’t Know Jacques!“)
Painting my nails in deep purples and grays is such a glamorous way to add a bit of edge to my everyday look.
2. Gold Jewels
Michael by Michael Kors Gold Round Sport Watch, $195
Dimpled Chain Bracelet, $6.80
This season, I’m all about stacking pieces of gold jewelry. The more textures and shapes, the better!
3. Lace-up Boots
We Who See Leather Lace-Up Boot, $128
Vibra Boot, $168
Worn with girly pieces, these add just the right amount of street edge to an outfit.
4. Bright Tights
Red Tartan Tights, £7.50
Jumbled Crochet Tights, $18
I’ve just recently started experimenting with tights in different colors. They’re such a great way to make your legs a focal point, even when the temperatures start to dip.
5. Fringe
Dip-dye Fringe Scarf, $16.99
Metallic Square Scarf, $14.99
I love how this flapper-inspired look is making a comeback and when worn around the neck, it adds just the right amount of flair.
