Tight Knit Situation
Despite the unnecessary need for hosiery in L.A., I seem to accumulate a massive collection of tights each autumn. I have dozens of black varieties, a few punchy colors, some striped, several sheer and others made of intricate lace. There’s simply no justification for my overabundant collection, yet I find myself compulsively feeding my indulgence time and time again. These arrived today from Gilt Groupe (and these are on their way) and have now spurred a whole new obsession with intricate patterns and embellishments.
What’s your weakness when it comes to accessories?

my weakness happens to be bags. i love bags.
i can’t even let the bags with a broken zip go. eventually i will fix them!

Of course I love the usual shoes and bags (and since I moved to CH tights have steadily become a staple in my wardrobe- especially wool and cashmere blends). But my true weakness is scarves. I have been collecting for at least 5 years now, and I can’t stop! Almost every country I visit, I wind up coming home with a new scarf (or two).
Oh wow, I love the ones you ordered! I definitely have a (current) weakness for statement necklaces. I can’t get enough!
Shoes. Especially red shoes. Infact in the last week alone I have acquired 2 pairs of red shoes, both of which are heels and highly impractical. Oh well. I love them!
I love huge cocktail rings, yet I don’t seem to have enough of them. And would you consider nail varnish as an accessory?
i feel ya, emily! i’m becoming obsessed with colored tights. those Zac Posen tights are so cute! my accessories weakness would have to be a tie between shoes and handbags.
mine are tights as well, okay tights, socks, thigh high socks, knee high socks…:D luckily in Germany I can wear them for at least 6 months a year

Scarves! Can’t get enough. In Michigan they are a necessity in the winter but I wear them almost all year long.
Beautiful tights! My weakness is vintage jewelry. I can’t visit an estate sale, flea market or antique mall without coming home with at least one bauble.

The Zac Posen tights are wild and the polka dot ones are super cute. When it comes to fashion, I feel like I have a weakness for everything. Shoes are a big one. =)

Oddly it seems to change annually: scarves 2 years ago, belts last year, necklaces this year! I guess we’ll see what comes next!

I’m a sucker for tights, too. They are such a quick and easy way to punch up an outfit. But my real weakness is necklaces. How can you EVER have enough?

Purses. I have a serious problem with them. I have so many I hide old ones in new ones in the storage closet so my husband doesn’t actually figure out how many I have.

I too have a TON of tights. An entire draw full of various takes on fishnet in different hues plus lace ones, cobweb ones, opaque ones, wool knit ones. The list goes on!
I got similar polka dot tights from Topshop. Plus a 2nd pair that is tiny black stars instead of dots. LOVE both so much.
There’s one pair I’m desparately looking for: Its one pattern up to the thigh and above that it’s vertical stripes. So its like built in stockings. (LOVE the built in stocking tights look ALOT).

Definitely tights…I am the same way. I actually just went through my “collection” about a month ago and threw out all the ones with snags and pulls. I had kept them because sometimes I can still wear them under boots or dresses, depending on where the pull is, but my dresser drawer was overflowing with them!
Tights are my weakness as well! And coats - just love them!
So obsessed with tights too especially the polka dot ones!!! I want a pair soooo bad, thinking about ordering them now lol.
I have accumulated plenty of tights this season and last season. I think my biggest accessory weakness has to be tights and headbands. Those dot tights are fab!

I do love tights, but I think my weakness is probably cardigans. Yes, I know they aren’t technically accessories, but that’s how I think of them. And I just never seem to be able to get enough different ones.
Weakness = shoes. They always fit no matter how big my waistline is.
this isn’t really an accessory - but i recently realized that i am quite addicted to the colour grey. i have an UNBELIEVABLE amount of grey cardigans, sweaters, tees, and shirts. oh dear!

Yum.. I am a tight/shoes/sock obsessee myself. I live in a warm climate but I can’t resist. I own probably 80 pair of tights and around 70 pair of socks and nearing 100 pair of shoes/boots. LBD + Tights + Great shoes = Fast and awesome outfit.

I’m just ending a weird ink pen obession, which was preceded by an expensive fascination with large earrings. Now it’s winter dresses — even more expensive. Ack!
It used to be bags but I got past that a few years ago. Now I would have to say earrings - I always feel like I dont have enough! And yet I know that’s very much not true!

hands down pashmina and silk scarves. I just added a vintage lanvin to my collection… I don’t think I took it off for a week after i got it!
My weakness is definitely shoes, but for some reason I dont consider them an accessory. They are too important for me. So my real weakness is HUGE jewelry. The bigger the better. Well….sometimes.
I am trying to become more of a shoe girl. I need to expand my collection. However, I still tend to buy a great handbag over a pair of shoes. I can’t get enough of them.

I just recently started getting into different patterned and colored tights myself. I can’t wait to see how you style the ones you received from Guilt Groupe (love that website!).
I’d have to say underwear [if that can count as an accessory]. I have to control myself every time I go out because I want more, more, more. I have over 80 pairs right now, I think.

I love tights. I live in Houston and it never really gets too cold here- but cold enough to wear tights. I definitely buy a lot of pearl necklaces, that’s a weakness of mine!

I’m stuck on scarves. The ones that are light and airy…not the thick bulky ones. I have dozens of them and I’ll buy them before it’s even officially cold outside. I have a special love for ones that are 100% wool. Ugh…love them. I also own quite a few pairs of tights and the collection is always growing. I wear dresses all year around so they are definitely a must in the winter!

i feel like stockings are completely disposable for me. they always rip after i wear them once! (probably because i go for the $2 forever 21 kinds, hehe). my accessory weakness is rings, for sure. every time i walk into a store & i can’t leave without at least one or two of them on my finger (and this happens at least one to three times a week, especially since i work at BCBG Max Azria & we get in shipments of rings every week!!!)
Tube scarves and cocktail rings. Oh, and sometimes sunglasses. I simply cannot stop purchasing all of the above!

I recently picked up a plaid pair, which I can’t wait to wear with a black or navy dress. You have no idea how much I love those Zac Posen tights!
Most probably shoes.. I buy tights for winter, but they’re always inexpensive ones from H&M or the likes. We barely have a winter here, so I don’t splurge on things that snag or tear easily..
tights are my obsession too! i was this close to buying those monogrammed Louis Vuitton tights from SS09, but I would be devastated if they ripped after paying $400 for them (my tights always do. so sad) those UO ones are so cute. I wished I’d seen them before getting the wolford polka tights.
This season I’ve been buying tons of tights, especially brightly colored ones, and also cocktail rings!

My absolute favorite accessories are tights. At last count I have close to twenty, I believe. Thank goodness I live in New England where I can wear them from September - April! My favorites are black, pale pink, cream, navy ribbed, purple lace, sheer polka dots… and the list goes on.
