Thanksgiving Placecards

November 23rd, 2010

I’m usually not big on place settings at the table.  It’s not that I’m opposed to anyone dictating where I should sit, but far too often the cards are unattractive and take away from the overall aesthetic.  For Thanksgiving this year, we’ll have about twenty people, so I offered to make the table settings.  I wanted them to be rustic, festive and affordable, so I bought a few bags of pine cones (I didn’t have time to collect them), made tags and secured them with a piece of raffia (all for under $10).

  16. So cute! We went to a dinner at my friend’s house on Saturday and she had collected little thingamajigs from the backyard {honestly, no clue what they’re called, but they look like brown, hollowed-out prickly cherries} and put them at everyone’s place setting. Such a simple but pretty touch. Have a great Thanksgiving if I don’t talk to you!! It has been so long, we need to catch up:) xo

  34. I’m a sucker for traditional Thanksgiving decorations, but I do love succulents as centerpieces. The’re a big trend in wedding decor right now.
