Sweets of Summer
Most of my favorite summer memories revolve around food. Whether it was a juicy watermelon at a family picnic or shucked corn by the beach, I have a serious love affair with this seasonal produce. I came home armed with berries, tomatoes, avocados and yellow nectarines, all of which were consumed in two days flat.

Hi Emily, just wanted to say I stumbled across your blog last night, and I’ve never been very much into fashion and style, however reading your entries has well and truly inspired me! I’m hoping on my imminent holiday to California I will be able to pick up heaps of new clothes to restyle my wardrobe with

I know! Whenever I eat raspberries I immediately think “SUMMER!” regardless if it’s freezing cold and dreary out!
I really can’t get enough summer fruits & veggies – watermelon has been a staple for dessert every night and big salads for dinner. hooray for summer!
Gorgeous pictures! I especially love the first one of the berries, the colors are wonderful. I know what you mean about being obsessed with the seasonal and local produce. Over here in Sweden I can’t get enough of the rhubarb and new potatoes!

Our strawberries were gone last Saturday before we even made it home from the Farmer’s Market! Beautiful pictures!
Lately I’ve been partial to spreading a pat of butter and 3/4 an avocado on toasted bread, then sprinkling garlic salt on top. MMMMMMMMM.
These pictures are gorgeous – I desperately want some juicy fruit right about now!
Would you look at those beautiful colors? Only mother nature could come up with such a beautiful palette. My mouth is now watering for a big bowl of fruit salad!
Fruit photos! Fruitstand photos make happy, weirdly.

LOVE these, Em! I am the same way. I miss the farmer’s markets in NYC. Surprisingly, they are very hard to find now that I’m in the “country”.
Great photos. That food looks so delicious. Yummy. Now I’m so hungry.
Keep the food posts coming
very nice photographs!!!
I don’t know if they have a Nugget grocery store in your neck of the woods. They have the most amazing watermelon gespatcho. I think its seasonal because I am always on the look out for it. Reminds me of summer.
yum!!! everything looks so tempting – perfect to beat the summer heat.
Blackberries – they just don’t taste the same unless it is summer…
