H&M Sweater, Jenny Yuen Bag, Wren Skirt, J.Crew Thigh-Highs, Steve Madden Booties
I’ve been known to complain about the consistently perfect L.A. weather, but when you can walk along the beach in mid-November, it’s hard to stay resentful. I picked up this sweater last week at H&M and its breathable knit is ideal for crisp, California mornings. Pants seemed too constricting, but since it was a bit too chilly for bare legs, I opted for a pair of thigh-high socks that kept me warm and actually stayed in place as I ran around Santa Monica.

All of the girls at the malls here in Japan run around in cute little outfits that look a lot like that. They sure do love the thigh highs!!!
Of course, they all have the tiny legs for them too…I would hate to see most of the American overweight women who don’t stay toned running around in them, haha

Thigh highs make me think of when everyone wore knee highs to school. I went to Catholic school, so it was one of the few ways we could fashionably express ourselves. We would also wear baby doll tees under our button-down shirts and roll (or staple) or skirts so they had a more desirable length. =)
I need to get thigh-highs like that, they look perfect!

i’ve been unsuccessful in my search for the perfect (i.e. appropriate) thigh-high boot. i think these socks may provide a solution.

I know what you mean about the weather, I don’t think we have had a day under 65 in the South yet…however, I absolutely adore it :). This outfit is the quintessence of California autumn, which, you lucky residents often forget, is some of the most perfect autumn weather in the States. We have winter temps here already. No more fall colours, no more fall warmth of sunlight.
