You’d think a great sweater dress would be easy to find. Modeled after your favorite knit – one that’s soft, fitted but not tight, and flattering – and just elongated slightly. But somehow they go wrong far too often, resulting in variations that are overly short, skimpy, or uncomfortable. This one, by Velvet, manages to look put together – with either ballet flats, short boots, or heels, while still channeling the comfort of a sweater you’ve had for years.

The Maje Belt immediately made me think of Fall in the deep plum color you chose, which also goes extremely well up against the grey sweater. Like you said, sweater dresses are either extremely short or overbearing, and the texture is never just right. This one is flattering and most likely comfortable, the ultimate combination. The shoes add an edge and spice up the whole ensemble, great look.
