Succulent Centerpiece

November 22nd, 2011

This year I was given the task of creating a centerpiece for our Thanksgiving table (that will seat fourteen). Instead of relying on classic autumnal decorations like pine cones (which I used for place settings last year), acorns, or leaves, I decided to go with a more rustic vibe that still incorporated outside elements. I kept it low and long (to not obstruct everyone’s view at the table), and lined a sleek slate tray with burlap, added miniature succulents, and filled it in with cranberries.

well well, I must say. This is a great version of a center piece a la Californian ;) You did a great job mixing my absolute favorite detail (berries) with tiny cacti (which I have all around my apartment in Paris). Bravo! Have you ever been to Paris? If you have a sec (which I’m sure you don’t..but I will give it a shot anyway) look at my brand new blog on everything you need to know about living in Paris. http://bisouslife.blogspot.com/
