Cupcakes and Cashmere

Street Eats

August 6th, 2009

I can’t think of a better way to spend a warm evening in L.A. than sitting on a curb eating one of the city’s most unique fusion cuisines.  After months of hearing nothing but rave reviews, we finally caught up with the Kogi BBQ Taco Truck dishing out Korean food with a Mexican twist.  I ordered enough to feed a small horse, but had no problem polishing off their signature sliders along with pork and short rib tacos.  To cleanse the palette afterward, we hunted down the closest Yogurtland (a new obsession) for some peanut butter frozen yogurt with Heath Bar.

Looks so so good! And all that was going through my mind is: You know you’ve been in Malaysia too long when I look at that darling pic of you on the sidewalk with your purse there and think “Oh no, better pull that purse in your lap so it doesn’t get stolen.” Darn purse snatchers here. xx

That yogurt sounds ridiculously good. I miss having all of the ice cream shop options in the city. Here we only really have Friendly’s and Ben & Jerry’s. Not that I don’t take full advantage of both, but I would love a gelato stand or fro-yo place or something.

I am also obsessed with Yogurtland. We are so lucky to live in L.A. and always have one close by! Those lines can get ridiculous though. But it’s worth it. I’d kill for a peanut butter one right now, even though it is 8:30 in the morning. Some days are just like that.
    XO!
