Spring Cakes
The Whole Foods produce section offers such wonderful inspiration when I’m wandering the aisles in search of dessert ideas. Cupcakes are nothing new around here, but once I caught a glimpse of the ripe berries, I knew they’d be the perfect finishing touch. It’s easy to get caught up in all of the fancy cupcake recipes out there, but sometimes, simple is best; as is the case with white cake and strawberry meringue buttercream.

Yes, I have been appreciating simple white cake lately. I just made white cupcakes this past weekend, filled them with a coconut milk ganache, and then frosted them with a vegan cream cheese frosting, flavored with bourbon. I ate six the first day!
Oh I just love this time of year with the fruit and berries and warm weather. Makes for some great recipes.

Yumm! I would love to see what you wear when you’re just kickin’ around and doing things like grocery shop and baking. Do you wear your workout clothes, like I do, or cute sweats? I’d love to see how you put together a really casual outfit!
Hello Emily.
My name is Erika, I am Brazilian and I love your blog. I do not understand any English, so I translate by google, probably will not have much connection words.
I have a recipe for a sweet wonderful, is very popular here, is a strawberry cream.
Go 1 can of cream, 1 can of condensed milk, 1 cup plain yogurt, and a package (50 grams) of powdered juice. Beat all the mixer and will carry a 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Any questions send me an e-mail. Do not know if that’s the same product names.
I hope you enjoy.
