Sparkled Lilac

June 9th, 2011

I love when an unexpected nail polish color combination turns out perfectly (kind of like this eery combination from last fall). Today I layered a pretty pastel (Essie’s French Affair) with a sparkly top coat (Sephora for OPI’s Only Gold For Me) and couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s fun and flashy when it catches the light and subdued and sweet indoors.

I use a glittery topcoat ALL the time since I’m not the best manicurist, the glitter hides any flaws. I love the light pink you chose. Gold nailpolish with silver glitter also looks great.

We loved this so much we included it in a nails trend round-up of our own. It’s like a more feminine take on the “crackle” polish trend.

Check out your feature in our post.. :)

SO pretty! Some sparkly nail polishes are a tad overwhelming, but this one works perfectly with the lilac. The combination reminds me of fairies.

How fun! I just did the same look, except with Essie’s Clambake. I love the orangey-red with the gold sparkles. It looks super chic against a mariner blouse, and very summer fun with a lime green tank top. :)
