Smoked Salmon BLT
I appreciate a good Caesar salad, but when it really comes down to it, I’m a sandwich girl. I’ve long been a fan of BLTs (bacon, lettuce and tomato) and when I heard Giada’s spin on this classic, I knew I had to give it a try. With a refreshing dill and lemon mayonnaise, bacon, smoked salmon, tomato and arugula on whole grain bread, it’s hearty and amazingly flavorful. You can find the recipe here, but I would highly recommend Ina’s no-fail method of roasting bacon.

spooky. i made exactly the same thing last night, too. (and it’s spooky because I used Ina’s roasting method, too. And I used Norwegian smoked salmon – Ina’s preferred style.)
And this was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever made. So delicious!
we are so on the same page with this one! I grew up on these lovelies, I adore the dill and lemon mayonaise part, something to change it up from the regular aoli..yummmmm!

That looks incredible! My grandmother & mom do the bacon that way, too — it’s hard to beat. Husband loves smoked salmon, so we’ll have to try this. I think I’ll add some avocado, too, just because it’s delicious!
Yum! I’m addicted to the uncured applewood smoked bacon from Whole Foods. It is so, so good.

woa bacon and salmon? this is blowing my mind. must try!
I”m a BLT fan too and love trying new twists on the classic; this looks fantastic! Last weekend, while in Charleston SC, I tried a very tasty southern version that I would recommend too. It was made with a fried green tomato and blue crab aoli– so good!
Mmmm that sounds heavenly! I am definitely a BLT kind of girl, and smoked salmon probably makes a good addition to most recipes. Yum.
BLT is probably my favorite sandwich, so I am going to have try this remix. Yum Yum!

I love Ina’s bacon technique too. She is never wrong!
I love salmon BLT’s. BLTs are great on their own, but adding a fish really kicks it up a notch. I don’t know if you ever go to Trader Joe’s, but they just started carrying these smoked salmon and spinach crepes in the frozen aisle that are insanely delicious.
Ooh, thanks for sharing! I’m always trying to find recipes that my boyfriend will be guaranteed to love, and I think he enjoys every ingredient involved in this sandwich.
