Sister Golden Hair
Yesterday I had a good hair day. I don’t make that claim too often, but I had straightened it the night before and it had just a slight wave that I won’t be able to replicate ever again. Since I’m relatively clueless what it comes to styling my hair (a side ponytail is about as glamorous as I get), I’ve rounded up a few leading ladies for some mane ideas.
Do you have a go-to style?

the side part, low side messy bun is my go-to …it always works when nothing else does. Great hair icons.
i like the low pony..i think not many can pull it off though..that includes moi:)
I love the braids but I can’t ever figure out how to get it to look like that!
i love LC’s do and a headband saves the day
)
I am so uncoordinated when it comes to my hair! Definitely not a talent of mine…so the thought of giving myself an “easy updo” or braids makes me shudder. These pics are great though and I love the loose curls!
My goto is a plain loose braid for work and play. Works everytime! I’m too lazy to straighten my hair all the time. And since my hair is curly, when I do straighten it, I have no idea how to manage it at all!
PONY-ville!
i am the laziest hair person. ever!
after i shower i just put it in a braid ( i don’t even own a blow dryer- eeek!!!) but it never stays wavy!!! I have stick straight hair.
like a horse
i love Rachel’s + sarah M G hair.
i love braids!!!
thanks for your sweetness emily.
x.
Gotta love those rare but treasured good hair days!
I really love Hilary Duff’s high pony tail and headband. I’ll usually tease the hair around my crown so there’s a big of a poof in front of the headband. I have also been braiding a small section of hair from one side to the other and tucking it behind my ear (Lauren Conrad in infamous for this on The Hills). I love SMG’s look but I don’t think I could do that myself!
I love the title of this post as I’ve been feeling nostalgic and listening to America way too much lately:)
I love this post as I have hair issues! If in doubt, I push it up into a big ole hair clip thingy!
Definitely no go-to style for me. I’m hair styling inept. I can’t even work a hair dryer!
i love hillary duff’s pony with headband, but somehow i think that isnt all easily slapped together as we may think.
my go-to style, is just down! boring :/
I love the braids look but haven’t been able to replicate it!
Oh, we are so happy to have stumbled upon your delightful blog! A new one to add to our daily reads! Fun, fun, fun!
The low pony is our answer to almost everything. Never lets us down!
Grins & Giggles for the rest of your week!

I hate my hair right now, but I love leighton meester’s hair as well as her whole style…
Glamorous hair-styles!
And I love Ashley Olsen’s waves, but I think everything would look awesome on her.
Yeah, blow dried and then run a straightener through it. I can’t even use a round brush! I am a hair idiot.
I think that LC’s hair would look uber adorable on you.
Such cute styles … yet I look at them and KNOW each one took an hour or more to create and perfect. I wear my hair down, in a slicked pony, or in two little buns at the nape of my neck. I bet the two little buns look would be adorable, on you, Emily! (That sounded filthy, but you know what I mean.)
I love SMG’s braids! Thanks for reminding me that I don’t need to cut my hair. Too many cute long hairstyles on this post. Love it!
my go to used to be a bun but now it’s a ponytail with my trusty black headband. when my go to was a bun i always wore that headband too. i love the styles you posted up. they’re simple yet very cute.
What a nice comment you made on my blog! It’s 1am over here but I’m going to come back and see you tomorrow! xx
I think my bad hair days used to outweigh the good — which is why I recently chopped it all off into a chin-length bob!
Much easier to style now — and more good hair days to go along with it!
depends on the season. during the humid summers i go for a ponytail always. during the winter simply down works for me. everyone always thinks i did something special because it is always up, ha.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. My hair is super short so my go to style is slicked to my head and smooth ala Josephine Baker or a man from the 30’s depending in the day and how tired I am. I’ve your blog.
love the side braid, I have my friend do it and I call and say you need to lauren conrad my hair!
Sorry for typos! Eek. sooo tired. LOVE YOUR BLOG!
i’m a hair dummy too, but i love how Rachel Bilson always looks so great with ther low pony-tail.
my go to is the down and curly look, haha. there’s only so much i can do with my short curly hair, but i love it nonetheless.
for me, I like the pulled back messy hair look with a thin headband. This works ALL THE TIME, even on bad days and my bangs are only slightly pulled to the side so I dont look like I have a big forehead! For going out on very special occasions, I like to put my hair in big hot rollers then pull the curls out so they are more wavy. GREAT POST! Glad you liked my pictures…
Lazy days for me have to be low messy bun or the braids. Usually a combination of the two!! Love the pics, you picked some great hair icons!
I wish I could do that SARA michelle..braid do…so cute!

Ahh, good song. I can’t get it out of my head now, so I’m bringing it up on iTunes for a listen
My go-to styles lately have been pony with a headband and low pony (although my hair never seems to look as nice as Rachel Bilson’s!)
Emily, I love my hair. I have naturally curly hair and it too me forever and a day to learn how to let it do its own thing.
I wash it before going to bed, put it up in a messy french bun and in the morning I take it down and i have awesome curls. If I have to look polished and together, I take a inch curling iron and neaten the messy parts. Takes like 5 minutes and a little hairspray.
Hope you are having a lovely evening.
<3
awww i like your side pony! it’s cute.
i have short hair, so it’s pretty much taken care of with a little bit of pomade!
I’m a loose waves kind of gal…mostly because I am to lazy to straighten…congrats on a good hair day…cheers! xo
rachel b’s hair always seems to look amazing…i love to wear my hair down and sort of bed-head messy, better the 2nd day too
kisses from super snowwwwwy las vegas
do i have a go-to style?
ugh.
i wish.
i’m so lazy. the blow dryer is like calculus to me. i love pony tails.
you should teach me!
xo
ponytail, ponytail, ponytail.
but i would kill for wavy, voluminous hair. i have the opposite problem of most people (and the most common problem for asians) – stick straight hair!
i really like the headband+ponytail look, but i have massive amounts of baby hair around my hair line and it just looks ridiculous w/ a headband. =(
i am completely lazy when it comes to my hair… i just wash it and go.. stick straight is pretty much my go to style.. i think pony tails make me look even younger.. and when i attempt to curl my hair.. it ends up a very slight wave within the hour.
What I would give for a little wave! I love Ashley L’s loose ringlets so much. My go-to is a bun—twist it up and forget about it. Sometimes when I’m really bad it’s still wet when it goes up.
My friends constantly remind me of my best ever comment…. “Sometimes I like my hair and sometimes I don’t!” I think this is very true…but they find it hilarious!
I am seriously copying these. I especially love the headband with pony on dirty hair days!
I’ve had straight across bangs for more then a year now, and I still love them! It looks really good when your hair is straight, and makes ponytails look way more interesting.
High, messy bun. I have crazy.curly hair and when it gets out of control (and it frequently does) I have to pull it up and away!
