Silver Bells
Gap Cardigan, Karina Grimaldi Jumper, H&M Tights, Prada Heels, Martin + Osa, Wren and Anthropologie Necklaces, Essie: Mint Candy Apple
After I got back from dinner late last night, I decided it was the perfect time to fish our ornaments out from storage and decorate our tree. Unfortunately, minutes after hanging the last of our glittery snowflakes and mirrored balls, my cat shimmied up the tree and promptly knocked them to the ground. For this first year with Luna, we’ll have to make do with just the lit tree and a few other decorations around the apartment.
Psst…Today on Lucky, I show how you can buy one key piece for the holidays and wear it a bunch of different ways. Check it out here!

Girlfriend, that nailpolish and those shoes are h.o.t.! My tree fell a few years back while I was sleeping - all the noise made me think I was getting robbed, but fortunately it was just the dang cat.
I adore your nail polish. It’s nearly impossible to have a tree with a mischievous kitty frolicking about.
Waking up (Europe, 9.27 a.m) to find a new post on your website is one of my guilty pleasures. Thanks, Emily.
cute clogs. having a tree with all the lights and ornaments make me feel festive already.

So cute… you and Jane (SOS) have the same shoes! And I’m partial to how you’re wearing them, but don’t tell her I said that…
Cats and Christmas trees definitely do NOT mix … and I’m so glad those Pradas are getting worn already. Gorgeous.
I was just reading earlier this week at Young House Love that supposedly citrus will discourage cats from climbing trees. Might be something to think about.

Oh! Those shoes! I loooove them!
Love the nails!
I learned that lesson years ago when my brother and I were kids. He brought home a cat right around Christmas. While we were decorating the tree the cat went under the tree and started climbing it, lol. We were in stitches. It was too funny. After that the cat was relegated to the basement for the rest of the holidays.

I covet that nail polish. I should just suck it up and buy it.
Emily, I just discovered your blog after checking out this month’s Lucky. I became instantly obsessed. I’ve been so consumed with law school finals lately that unfortunately my true love in life, fashion, has taken a back seat. Reading your blog and seeing the gorgeous photos of you in impecable outfits completely brightened my day. I’m hooked!
I had a cat years ago and she would climb the tree every single day and knock it flat. I got a tabletop tree the next year and she left that alone for some reason.
Who take the lovely photos of you?
LOVE the cardigan but can’t find it on the Gap’s website - does anyone else see it?
Oh those shoes look AMAZING on you! I knew they would…I love this look….it’s totally perfect…I have been living for your lucky posts…I totally forgot my password so I can’t comment, but LOVE!
