I have a mild obsession with shirt dresses. Unfortunately, most of them make me look preggers or elicit awkward looks from people who think I forgot my bottoms. This Kettle Black number not only cinches in just the right amount at the waist, but the little ruffles along the front ensure that nobody will mistake it for something I stole from my boyfriend. Not that there’s anything wrong with that (exhibits A & B).

So great I love it! I feel the same way about shirt dresses..they seem to poof in the wrong areas, but this looks great with the belt and the cut is obviously perfect! Love it with that gorgeous bag too!

heh obviously when I wore my shirt dress on my visit home some time ago EVERYONE asked me where are my pants and whether I’m sure this is meant to be worn that way. funny thing is that if I would wear a top and a skirt the same lenght no one would look twice.

I have the same problem with shirt dresses. So I tend to lean toward the more tailored ones. But those make me look like I’m a deranged Girl Scout.

Shirt dresses are rockn for all occassions. Multi-climate I call em (poolside, spring picnic, winter errands)….love how you are sporting this one with the poppin contrasting purse!
