Sheer Seduction

June 16th, 2010

It’s easy to get in the same routine of throwing on little sundresses anytime the weather is slightly warmer than usual.  It’s not like there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s also good to mix things up every once in a while.  Lately I’ve been all about blouses in the sheerest of fabrics with delicate prints and a billowy fit.  They’re perfect over some rolled up shorts, tucked into skinny jeans or even over one of your sundresses and cinched with a belt.  Here are a few that are currently on my radar.

1. Rebecca Taylor Charm Me Puma-Print Tunic, $245
2. Modcloth Free as a Bird Blouse, $107.99
3. Adam Heart-Print Silk Blouse, $245
4. Topshop Rose Floral Pussybow Blouse, $90
5. Forever 21 In The Wind Floral Top, $22.80
6. Armand Basi Loly Printed Cotton Blouse, $112.50
7. Forever 21 Field Of Flowers Top, $24.80
8. Elizabeth and James Cheyenne Printed Silk Shirt, $265

i can’t get enough of the loose tops over skinny jeans look. once the temperature climbs past 90 in oklahoma, i’m throwing on a sundress, though. can’t do it.

i’m in love with the first top. rebecca taylor’s line is killer (and i’m not just saying that because we share the same last name :)

Love the sheer. But still confused as what to wear underneath. Bikini top? Nude bras? Tank top?

Number 2 TOTALLY does it for me. I have a real love at the moment for swallows – I have swallow necklaces, swallow print teadresses, swallow earrings…am even thinking about having a swallow tattoo on my hip or wrist. They’re so delicate and lovely. As is the blouse they’re printed all over in your post.

    Lovely, as usual.

I completely agree – I love a sheer floaty blouse for a feminine change in summer. Besides, the weather continues to remain pathetic in London, rendering it impossible to wear tiny dresses and tops without goosebumps.
