After weeks of packing, traveling, and readjusting to the time difference, this was the first week in a while where I felt the pace return back to normal. The highlight was reconnecting with my girlfriends—we usually talk every day, but we had all been too distracted over the past few weeks, so our reunion over dinner felt therapeutic. Now that our bags are unpacked and our laundry is finally done, I'm looking forward to dedicating my entire weekend to watching the summer games. We're heading to an Opening Ceremony party today that involves costumes for parents and kids. While Sloan is too young to understand the concept of team sports, let alone how gymnastics is scored, I cannot wait to dress her up as a mini gymnast. Have a good weekend!
Go, Team USA!
