Seal of Approval
A few weeks back, I mentioned how Wet Seal had overhauled their old, trashy image in lieu of one that’s now filled with romantic, breezy pieces. Turns out, that only applies to their website since the store I visited on Saturday reeked of raspberry lip balm and Aquanet. Luckily I managed to find my floral dress in mere seconds and only once I got home was I able to examine its sweetly rouched neckline and delicate pattern. I’m pleased with my purchase, but only time will tell if another item will tempt me enough so that I’m forced to set foot inside another Wet Seal.

yeah. oh wet seal, if i could only bring myself to hold my breath and walk inside your doors i’m sure i’d find some killer things like this darling piece. but you know… it’s hard. maybe someday…
and, your mom’s beautiful tulle necklace she made for you inspired my own little creation out of something for the neck. i will have to send you a photo once i find something to wear it with. i just couldn’t get enough how beautiful that piece was.

I love that belt, it’s beautiful! And I love how fun that flet market looks, sadly, our local flea market is mostly junk and old lady bras.

I LOVE the belt. I have been looking for a big studded waist belt since the Sex and the City movie (and I imagine many girls were feeling the same way). It looks great paired with your soft, romantic dress.

I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from wet seal. That dress is absolutely beautiful though!
Too bad that they’ve failed to turn over a new leaf – but you did well to snag that dress. Love it with the wide, studded belt.

You have had me on the search a couple of times for items you have posted at cheaper stores such as Wet Seal & Forever 21. But once i get in those stores, I get so overwhelmed and never seem to find what I’m looking for! and then you come back with a dress like this and a gorgeous belt! Gosh darnet, I will have to try again….haha!
adore how you paired the sweet dress with the studded belt. I rarely go to the mall but I happened to go when it was close to halloween and the window displays of wet seal were all slutty halloween costumes! I was shocked.

Finally! I loved Wet Seal but it’s just gotten so cheap lately…as in cheap looking.
I still buy from f21 though I have been waning lately…too much of the same stuff, over and over again. I do like that F21 hasn’t gone all trashy like WS did but it can get boring. I like F21 one for cheap coats and dresses and now I will be sure to check out WS again. I kinda forgot it existed! Doesn’t help that I live in Canada where Wet Seal doesn’t exist.
BTW – the best shopping to either of those stores is done online. Even if I happen to be around either store, I just can’t go in – I prefer to bypass the chaos, mess and people and order from home
I also like the dress underneath – I recently put a pleated skirt under my dress (ahem, F21 dress and Charlotte Russe skirt) in Disneyland so that I had more length in case my dress blew up on a ride. Check out my recent blog post for pics
I can just imagine you running around frantically while holding your breath. Here’s hoping they figure out how to manage the smell in their stores so that less dedicated shoppers can try it out.

I so agree about Wet Seal. Their website makes it so much easier to look for some cute things, but the store is still the same. If anything, I’d probably order if I saw something cute since it’s hard to find anything in there! But I love that dress on you! And especially how you styled it. Amazing as usual!

Wow, I never would have thought that dress was from Wet Seal-I’m impressed and kinda shocked! When I was about 14 I stopped going into Wet Seal because it always was so cramped and cluttered but I do like some of the clothes on their website.

i found this amazing skirt at wet seal the other day – high waist, short & poofy, in a gorgeous lumberjack plaid. i even paid full price for it (and i have never done that – rarely have i seen anything there that was worth it’s ticket price). i completely agree…the store is definitely improving the quality of its merchandise.
