Scary Seventies

October 27th, 2010

Last night my boyfriend and I made a big bowl of popcorn, turned down all the lights and watched the original Halloween.  It was the perfect Tuesday night and even though I’ve seen the movie more times than I can count, for the first time I was more focused on the clothes than I was on Michael Myers.   I loved the cream-colored tights, the platform loafers and high-waisted jeans that looked like they were painted on.  It sparked a whole new obsession with ’70s-inspired pieces that I’m sure will stick around even after Halloween has passed.

I have those grey glasses from F21 – they look super fun and are definitely quintessential 70′s!! And I love that satchel – what a killer price!

Loving the hat and cross body bag. The slouchy top is great also, but perhaps a tighter jean for contrast : ) Cute post!

Clogs like #2 are defintely the rage. Great with a cute dress and tights, or jeans. And heeled clogs are really comfortable. Style and Comfort what more can you ask for ! Check out http://www.Uggleboclogs.com for the original clogs from the 70s-80s.

I know that it sounds weird but the 70s are one of my favorite fashion decades. Topped only maybe by the 30s or 40s. Check out the film What’s Love Got To Do With It — the Tina Turner Story. The fashion is TDF!
