It never ceases to amaze me what a couple days spent in the sun can do for my frame of mind. The Ace Hotel had a hip, retro vibe with a black and white photo booth in the lobby, shampoo that smelled of California tangelos and hammocks that lined the pool. Their ‘Facial’ cocktail, made of muddled mint with vodka, pineapple juice and cucumbers quickly became my go-to choice for a refreshing drink to counter the 82° heat. As a perfect end to my weekend, I found a pair of Miu Miu Naplak Patch Booties (for a fabulous price) at the Desert Hills Outlets that were sold out just about everywhere that I had previously checked. Though I’m typically one for neutral colored shoes (okay, besides these), I simply adore the unique combination of dusty rose, walnut, pink and nude patent leather with an unexpected zipper that runs down the side.
