Quilted Treasure

Ray-Ban Aviators, Club Monaco Jacket, Phillip Lim Dress, Vintage Chanel Bag, Prada Shoes

I’ve been to Palm Springs dozens of times but somehow I had never gotten around to doing any vintage shopping while I was there. I would just hunker down by the pool with a book and a drink and pretty much stay there for the whole trip. But this past weekend proved to be a bit different – primarily since our hotel was kind of creepy. I had heard great things about Route 66 West for a while (mainly for their impressive collection of costume jewelry), and I came home with this vintage Chanel bag. The prices in the desert proved to be about half as much as those in L.A., which was certainly a bonus since I had decided this was coming home with me the moment I saw it.

I always love those shoes! Every time you post and you’re wearing them I stop to admire…
I am wondering if you could share the name of your hotel. I saw the pics of the multi-colored rooms in another post and I know what hotel that is…and I’m staying at it in two months…so I’m really hoping it isn’t the creepy one!
Good luck with wedding madness/happiness! It will be beautiful!

i had the exact OPPOSITE experience in palm springs. i found all their “vintage” stores to be full of outdated pieces more fit for costumes than wearing, and to top if off ridiculously expensive. there’s a reason the pools are so nice in palm springs – that’s about all that’s worth doing there!
