After an entire week spent in bed, I finally made it out yesterday for a quick cup of coffee. It felt about as close to pajamas as I could get, without actually wearing any flannel or fleece. A pair of black capris, patent oxfords, and a printed shirt has since become my go-to uniform for those days when you’re feeling under the weather, but don’t want everyone to know.

      Yes, I really wish there were some more affordable options on this site, VERY few people can afford the luxury items that Emily wears, yet she does look great in them.

        Yes I really enjoy the blogs that mix high end items with stuff from say, Target. Emily’s site is becoming a real turn-off, as I know that any link she provides (to clothes or bags that interest me ) will be to some overpriced, completely unaffordable store for the average blog follower. The Honeybee is my new favourite blog as she does mix high and low price stuff.

          This sounds like a nest of hornets. Look for the ideas and inspiration, which are great. It’s not the blog’s job to figure out everyone’s personal price points.

    glad to hear you are feeling better! i finally got out of the house too…only it was to buy an apple tv so i could go right back home and enjoy streaming netflix by the fire in the rainy weather we had all weekend! LOVE the polka dots!

    I really don’t mind that most pieces are overpriced. As a Brazilian, most stuff American bloggers post are not available for me to buy, so I just go out there and find an alternative that fits my budget and looks similar. That’s the purpose of ‘inspirational’.
    I love it that you post outfits that can be worn on different occasions. There’s always something for someone looking for a nice work outfit when they have a job interview, or this cute simple ensemble that’s perfect for a relaxed picnic or a day at the mall with a friend.
