Playing with Peplum

I’ve been seeing peplum dresses, skirts, and tops pop up just about everywhere – but I was skeptical as to why anyone would want to add an extra layer of flouncy fabric around their hips. I bought this top, which is a slight variation on the classic shape, last week at H&M and it’s since made me change my stance. When balanced properly, like with a fitted floral skirt, an understated ruffle creates a surprisingly sleek silhouette.
