I went through quite the purple stage my freshman year of college. Everything from my bedding to my slippers fell victim to my color infatuation. Since then, I avoid it entirely, unless disguised as a pretty pastel shade. This dress though, with its perforations and peplum, is closer to a pale pink, which I’ve never been able to resist.

    totally agree too – super short is not flattering to anyone other than a supermodel – and looks too juvenile; don’t get the obsession with supershort dresses and skirts – really unflattering here; in fact, I don’t get the fashion posts on this blog at all – and yes, I know I don’t have to look at it if I don’t like it, and I am removing it from my blogroll, but it is also a business, and a business owner can be told when they lose readers/customers etc. I like the food and decor posts, but the fashion and DYI (especially the yellow sunglasses from the other day )are simply mystifying – Estee Lauder Co thinks this stuff is OK? yikes!

      This is an awfully long reply for someone who “doesn’t get the fashion posts at all”. You obviously took the time to read through comments and reply to the only negative one. If you’re going to stop following the blog, just do it! Judging from the high praise and appreciation her posts receive, a lot of women and men love her sense of fashion (not to mention this beautiful dress) and DIY. Her short dress isn’t as juvenile as you writing negative comments on someone’s blog. Keep it to yourself.
