Pared Down Inspiration

Following in this week’s footsteps of exceedingly simple ensembles (here and here), I’ve been looking to other women for inspiration in how they put together their most paired down pieces. Here are just a few of my favorites, which have simultaneously made me wish for just a few more items in my closet (like a great pair of dressed up skinny jeans, pointy-toe pumps, and an oversized scarf).

I’m really loving pared-down street style lately as well; Miranda Kerr is truly the queen of it! I’d seen all of these outfits except the first, which is incidentally my favorite out of the bunch, probably. Can’t go wrong with studded Valentino pumps~

This post has helped me realize it’s not really what you where as much as it’s how you where it – and that’s in terms of accessories just as much as attitude. I love these outfits. I never would have put brown and black together, but that girl pulls it off amazingly.

It took me a while to understand and label my own fashion sense. After seeing this post, I am “Pared Down Chic” and I recognize it is popular now, but not necessarily a trend. This pared-down chic is not a fleeting trend. It’s for women who want to build a timeless wardrobe.
