Pain au Chocolat

October 5th, 2011

This is the ideal breakfast for cold mornings when a bowl of cereal just doesn’t cut it. I followed an abbreviated version of the classic Pain au Chocolat (recipe here), and they still came out tasting like little pillows of air. Make sure to spring for high quality chocolate (my favorite is Valrhona), since it cleverly disguises the shortcuts you took on the dough.

I saw something similar to this on the movie “It’s Complicated” and then I also tasted a Trader Joe’s version of this. I think it’s time I made my own! Your version looks yummy!!!

Delish! but one thing I have to say is you must have a crazy workout routine or only eat a bite of one because I don’t know how you could eat all that stuff without getting huge!
