Pain au Chocolat

October 5th, 2011

This is the ideal breakfast for cold mornings when a bowl of cereal just doesn’t cut it. I followed an abbreviated version of the classic Pain au Chocolat (recipe here), and they still came out tasting like little pillows of air. Make sure to spring for high quality chocolate (my favorite is Valrhona), since it cleverly disguises the shortcuts you took on the dough.

brilliant. you are not only a fashionista, but also quite the chef. i love the idea of the dough, cause i hate rolling and flour everywhere.
