After an entire week spent in bed, I finally made it out yesterday for a quick cup of coffee. It felt about as close to pajamas as I could get, without actually wearing any flannel or fleece. A pair of black capris, patent oxfords, and a printed shirt has since become my go-to uniform for those days when you’re feeling under the weather, but don’t want everyone to know.

On Monday I came down with the flu. The last time I had a fever I was in second grade, so I forgot just how miserable it is to be this sick. Most of the time I was either napping or staring at the ceiling – not even episodes of my favorite shows sounded appealing. But it seems I’m over the worst of it and am hopeful that I can start incorporating foods besides Popsicles and soup back into my diet. Here’s to a weekend filled with little luxuries and most importantly, your health.

{Only Alexander Wang could make dominoes look so sleek}

{Cantonese Chicken Soup from Lukshon - essential flu fighting food}

{The best splurge ever – traditional x-benches in an unexpected material from Jayson Home}

{Luxurious toothpaste c/o of Theodent that’s pretty enough to leave out}

Up until the last few years, I never wore lipstick. It was too bold, too adult, and I was nearly certain that it would end up coating my teeth as soon as it was applied. But I’ve since realized just how fun lipstick can be – it’s almost like a new box of Crayola crayons that has the ability to completely transform your look. The most important thing is to find one (or in this case, five) that works for you. I love experimenting with lipstick and have put together my list of favorites – from the palest pink to a deep oxblood. I’m always curious to hear about other people’s go-to’s: do you have a signature shade that you swear by?

J.Crew Hat, Ray-Ban Aviators, Madewell Sweater, Acne Skirt, Prada Shoes, Clare Vivier Clutch
I usually associate longer dresses and skirts with fancier occasions, but this outfit couldn’t have been more relaxed and comfortable. I’ve had this skirt for a while – it’s my go-to piece for when I need to punch things up a bit. Instead of pairing it with something neutral (like I did here and here), I loved the way it looked when worn with a similarly bright sweater.
