Without question, strawberry rhubarb is my favorite flavor of pie, but I’ve actually never attempted to make it until now. While I feel pretty confident in my baking skills, I haven’t had the best of luck with fruit based pies. They often turn out too loose and runny, but after following this Cook’s Illustrated recipe, the dessert came out better than I expected and perfectly highlighted the balance between the sweetness of the strawberries and the subtle tartness of the rhubarb. Bonus: it’s the best pie to eat for breakfast, hands down.

I switch up my sunglasses often (and store them here for easy access) since they have the ability to transform the entire vibe of an outfit. I recently splurged on a pair of Illesteva sunglasses (seen here and here), which are similar to this multicolor pair. The quality of the sunglasses is undeniable, but these from Madewell have a similar shape and vintage flair, with a great price tag to match.

Karen Walker Sunglasses, Coach Trench, T by Alexander Wang Shirt, Anthropologie Pencil Skirt (first seen here), Louboutin Heels, Vintage Clutch, Nars ‘Red Square’ Lip Pencil, Essie ‘Playa de Platinum’ Nail Polish
Nothing feels more classic than a trench coat, oversized sunglasses, a red lip, and skinny stilettos. The combination always makes me feel like such an adult, so I like to throw on a slouchy shirt and a bold pattern to keep it from feeling stuffy.
