Packing Problems
{Camel colors + Structured clutch}
When it comes to packing, I’m kind of useless. I never really put together outfits or consider the different obligations that I’ll be dressing for, but instead just throw lots of random pieces into an overstuffed suitcase. I try to be a bit more calculated with everything that I bring along for Fashion Week, but sometimes I need additional help. In order to get some inspiration, I chose five images that incorporate trends with seamless grace and style.

I know exactly what you mean about packing! I leave in 10 days for my month-long adventure and I started thinking about items to pack just last night. I figured I should start early because I just get so overwhelmed with all the choices!

I love the layered look. In fact i have download that same pic to my fav a long time ago. Also i took inspiration with pics to recreate and vary outfits for every trip. It really helps a lot. Have an excellent trip.

I personally hate packing! It means you can’t work with your entire wardrobe, which bugs me. Still, I try to pack light and structured but it doesn’t always work to be honest

I love all the suggestions, especially layers plus oversized belts ! And I think most of us have the same problem with packing, ALWAYS! I am jealous if somebody can plan what they’ll wear and take only really necessary things with them – I can’t

Packing for fashion week is the hardest. I just had to do it for Copenhagen Fashion week and I will have to say I failed – I was constantly wishing I had something that I left at home. Thanks for the tip though, next time I will do this!

I find it really useful to make a list of events I need to attend every day of the week.
That way when I pack I know what will go with what. I bring the list though, otherwise it is all just a big jumble I can’t remember again when I get there.

I’m definitely a mess when it comes to choosing what to take on holiday, I always seem to forget to pack the right accessories which inevitably causes some annoyance when I reach my destination! Fabulous cape coat!
I’m also completely useless when it comes to packing clothes! I get so worried that I’m not going to pack something that I might need while I’m away, so I land up stuffing my bag with as much of my ward robe as I possibly can! Which leads to me not even wearing half of it, and having to pay for my luggage being over weight!
But, I’m all for many layers, big belts, and a lovely assortment of mixed matched jewelry for fall
In South Africa we have this trend that everyone wears dozens of these necklaces made out of river beads. The river beads are all different shades of grey with touches of light brown, and when you wear a whole lot of them at all different lengths, they create this lovely eye-catching pattern that can pull together any outfit! Even if you are dressed in just grey.

I always start mentally packing a week before I leave! That way the actual act if packing (not my favourite thing to do) is quick and easy.

I hate packing, I used to travel so much for work that it just became too much effort and I would literally throw some things right before my taxi came and rush out the door 30 min. before my plane took off.

I’m a pretty horrendous packer… Mostly stems from my fear of getting to my destination and not having something I need, so I end up overpacking x10!

I’ve started to just throw everything in my suitcase and hope something works out. haha
I have the same problem. Even when I get myself together and actually make a list of outfits, I end up throwing a bunch of additional items in “just in case”. It makes for a heavy load!
i am SO bad at packing! i usually end up with only one outfit that can go together! fail.
amen, I am the WORST at packing. I tend to dress how I feel and I never like to be without so that equates to an overstuffed suitcase with bits and pieces I most likely never need on that trip.
I am trying harder now to define my closet with things that are easily coordinated with each other so that I have the option of packing lighter but be able to coordinate outfits better.
Quality pieces, easy color palette, bold pieces that are my own, plus my own sense of style…that should do the trick.

I panic whenever I have to pack. Like you, I don’t wholly plan out outfits. I plan maybe two or three, but the rest, I just think, I need x number of pants and stockings and socks and undies and then the rest is a jumble of shirts and cardigans and skirts for “just in case weather”, and my suitcase still gets overstuffed. I bought Space Bags to help combat my packing problem.

I’m proud to say i’m very good at packing. Not that i like doing it, but i hate being carrying stuff i will not use. For fashion week i recomend you to tray the outfits at home, adding a few extra (just in case you change your mind) and complete your suitcase with basics.

I like to think of myself as a packing pro, but that’s only because I will make a list, check it three times, and sometimes I’ll even draw out or use polyvore.com to piece my outfits together. I think it’s a little OCD, but it’s how I do it. However, in the end I always pack to much, but I like being prepared!!

I traveled for work for a long time, its what helped me master packing and shopping. Basics go a long way with accessories for “flair.” My only continual failures are shoes. I always bring too many shoes.

I leave for LA in 24 hours for 15 days and I have a huge laundry basket full of clothes. I’m almost in tears trying to figure out how to consolidate my clothes. How do I think 15 days ahead? What if I’m not in a mood for anything I bought? Ugh. After always having to pay an extra $100 just to check our bags I promised my husband I would try to pack smart, but it just can’t be done.

I’m the opposite when I have to pack…I go crazy picking out each outfit with coordinating accessories and shoes/socks, etc…I put all acceessories that go with each outfit in little labeled bags…I even write down the outfits with how I’ll do my hair and makeup! lol I’m a little too organized!
