There’s so much promise in the start of a new year. It’s one of the only times people examine the things they’d like to change and actively set goals to do so. In regards to fashion, I’ve vowed to only purchase things that I truly love. More often than I’d like to admit, I end up buying things that don’t fit perfectly or that have some minor detail that isn’t quite right. This French Connection dress was my first purchase of 2010 and I couldn’t be happier with its batwing sleeves, flirty length, and comfortable jersey knit.

I like the paradox between your first statement (regarding the promise of the start of a new year) and the first photo (with the “theatre closed” sign). Very interesting….
