A tweed pencil skirt is about as conservative as it gets – but when done up in neon colors and paired with playful stripes, it takes on a completely different vibe. I wore this out for a meeting on a chilly day and it felt like the ideal transitioning outfit from winter to spring. The weather’s been on the dreary side as of late, so a pop of color with a knotted belt and a little sparkle in your hair helps brighten things up.

Tweed definitely gets the rep of being more conservative, but I think you played it up well with the neon belt, making it a more youthful look. The embellished floral headband is a great touch!

I find you overuse the word ‘unexpected’, and always in the wrong context. Why would a patterned fabric be unexpected? Perhaps one would be excited to find something that is ‘unusual’, ‘peculiar’ or ‘quirky’, but why would you go looking specifically for fabric to then find it ‘unexoected’?

The skirt is a wonderful length. Elegant and sexy, sophisticated. Best skirt look I’ve seen in a while; hope you’ll find more like it.

Love this pairing!! I think Im gonna buy something neon, I’ve been quite anxious to wear neon in anything other than accessories but starting my own blog had been forcing me to be more experimental
