Neck Exercise

Forever 21 Top (seen here), J.Crew and Forever 21 Necklaces, Michael Kors Watch, Vintage Bracelet, Pleasure Doing Business Skirt, H&M Tights, Fendi Wedges
Ever since I posted this collage last week of chunky necklaces, I’ve been looking for a few pieces to wear together for a dramatic effect. Turns out, the ones shown online are never quite as impressive in person and fall short in terms of their overall girth and presence. I found this and this from J.Crew yesterday and could have easily walked out with several similar variations. The four pounds of metal dangling from my neck leaves me slightly sore, but I’m already on the hunt for my next piece to throw into the mix.

Wow! Emily, you look absolutely stunning in these pictures! I love all of the necklaces you got but my favorite part of this post would have to be the lace top. Absolutely gorgeous.

Looks lovely, Emily. I’ve seen the look on Frichic’s blog, you can buy some of the necklaces there (http://frichic.blogspot.com/).
I don’t wear necklaces at the moment, my baby girl likes to grab, pull and tear them…..
Lovely necklaces and that lace top is lush!
I laughed at your comments on biscotti, my sentiments exactly so you’ve encouraged me to have a go at making some!
the lace is amazingly pretty! and those necklaces?! WOW! I have been looking for some pretty bold necklaces for a while, so in love with yours!

yooray for lace. you look soooo romantic today.

Great chains! I also love having necklaces with some weight around my neck. That way, not only do they have a visual presence, but they have a real physical presence, too. The girly lace top also pairs perfectly with the heavy chains. Where did you find such an interesting shirt?

Emily, your makeup looks beautiful! It’s so fun to stack a bunch of chunky necklaces on top of each other. The trap glass necklace is awesome, so vintage looking. I love J Crew jewelry.

Uggh I adore that delicate little top. I still have my eyes out looking for one similar but to no avail.
This summer I’ve got alot of bridal showers and dressy parties and perusing your outfits has been very inspiring (looking forward to floral dresses and neck weights!)
Do you wear extensions? Your long summer locks tempt me to never cut my hair!
Love it.

I adore the look of a necklace pile, but hear you on the weight issues. I made a Tom Binns-inspired piece and it weighs about three pounds. Oy!

This look is fantastic. I could easily see adjusting a few pieces to make it go from “work” to “weekend” in a snap. Plus, I can’t live without a little J.Crew in my life! Love it!
I love it, I got the dress instead of the top.

I love that top! I tried it on at F21 after seeing you in it, but it doesn’t quite look as good on me.

You are gorgeous! The necklaces are pretty, but Im totally digging that lace top. Been looking for something similar in black. I am now following you!
I love that you combined the necklaces together! But yes, I so know what you mean about them being heavy. Even one of mine is heavy on it’s own!
I love this outfit, I feel like this is the perfect look for the summer. I love skirts and tucked in cute tops with a chunky necklace or two. I have been on the hunt for a couple key pieces to wear. I feel like you can dress it up or down
said this in your lookbook, but will you marry He? you are beyond beautiful…let me know if your interested?

I absolutely love that lace top! And what a clever name for the skirt
-Jane @ http://brunchatthebeach.blogspot.com
I have that F21 top & love it – interesting idea to just tuck in the front slightly. I also love the perfect combo of necklaces (esp that long one!) and they look great over that top! Only complaint – too much eyeliner on bottom? VTartak – check out her FAQ.
I adore that F21 top – so cute and great for the warmer weather headed to CA.

I have the same exact skirt and have been trying to pair it with a Spring top and seeing this gave me so many ideas. thank you. i love that no matter the season you aren’t afraid to wear black. black is a staple in my wardrobe.

Love this look – as always
The necklaces are great! My first outfit post was wearing several vintage necklaces that looks like this look! Love J. Crew jewelry lately!
http://lindsaylovesitall.blogspot.com
stunning! i love the lace top and the necklaces are awesome!
I just picked up this top at F21 and it’s just as cute in person! I love both ways you paired it- with the more casual boyfriends and this lovely skirt and tights.
Not everyone could fit into that skirt and look as decadent. I’ll always be a lover of gold chunky jewelry paired with the simplicity of black and white.
Also, I’m having a giveaway on my blog right now for a piece of fine art (by me!) so please stop by and enter if you’d like

That lacy top is so classically elegant (I can’t ever get enough lace). And, the way you’ve paired it with the chunky jewelry gives the whole ensemble a contemporary flair. Bravo!

The light in those pictures is absolutely gorgeous. I can not wait for the sun to come out where I live.
That necklace does look fabulous on you! Another great option – and lighter weight – for a fun summery look is to layer these two necklaces from Stella & Dot: the Rosie Multistrand Pearl and the Avery Pearls & Chains.

LOVE the Michael Kors watch … I’ve been desperate to find one like it that doesn’t look to oversize/masculine on me and yours fits the bill. Any suggestions on where to find it?
hi !
what is your shade of hair on those pictures?
greetings from poland
oh i love the layered necklaces!!
you look great (as always) lady!
Okay. I love the outfit you have on here, but I cannot figure out what you are wearing under the lace top. Did you just put on a nude bra or a tank top or what?
whenever I try a full lace top, it’s beautiful but looks a little trashy without anything under.
