For the first time in what seemed like years, it rained in Southern California. It didn’t make for optimal conditions for the auto show that I attended (I’m not a car aficionado so my boyfriend bribed me with a trip to Chili My Soul), but I did get to put my Hunter boots to good use. Ever since I spotted the oversized wellies on the cover of Martha Stewart’s since-folded magazine, Blueprint, I’ve been enamored with their cozy and retro look. While $115 is a bit to spend on a bunch of colored rubber, they’re well worth it because I now welcome rainy days with childlike excitement.
