Memorial Day Weekend

June 1st, 2010

{Malibu Kitchen and Gourmet Country Mart}

I still can’t comprehend how we managed to squeeze in so much food and traveling in three short days.   The weather couldn’t have been better and we took advantage of it by visiting nearly every beach town in Southern California.  Of course no Memorial Day would be complete without a great barbecue, so naturally we bought a new grill (best impulse purchase this year).

  10. love it! looks like a dreamy weekend. the very best thing about the malibu country kitchen is their blueberry muffins… if you’ve never had them, it is worth heading up there EARLY to get one, because they sell out pretty quickly! then you can hit the beach with your deliciousness and beat the crowds to watch the early morning surfers! also – have you tried the best breakfast burritos on the planet in malibu at lily’s cafe? if not, you need to go next time!
