Orange – Lime Margaritas
August 2nd, 2011
Making a good drink can be really intimidating. I’ve dedicated an entire section to demystifying the art of making a classic drink in my book (that comes out next August). Since that’s a long time to wait, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to share one of my favorite recipes – my dad’s Orange-Lime Margaritas. They rely on the fresh flavors of bright citrus, good alcohol and not much else.
Orange-Lime Margaritas
2 limes
1/2 orange
2 1/2 oz. tequila
1 oz triple sec
1/4 oz. agave syrup
1/4 oz. Grand Marnier
In a cocktail shaker with ice, juice 2 limes and 1/2 orange. Add tequila, triple sec, and agave syrup. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain over glass with new ice cubes and float Grand Marnier on top.

*Another great summer cocktail recipe here.
