Liquid Diet
Ever have one of those weekends that is defined by what you eat and drink? Ravaging wildfires, triple digit temperatures and air quality like a coal mine made L.A. a very inhospitable city these past few days, forcing us to spend most of our time indoors with cool refreshments. We worked our way from fresh fruit smoothies to crisp gin and tonics, each drink setting the tone during our self imposed house arrest.

i have weekends like that all the time, but i never make anything as yummy-looking as your limeade!

Those Dr. pepper bottles are super cool! I can’t say that I can sympathize with the heat, it was 16 degrees yesterday (celcius) in Toronto, and today is only 19…our summer was crap, and definatly over.

I totally love Hendrick’s too – except try it with a slice of cucumber in the drink instead of the lemon. Sounds weird – I know – but it is delicious!
Where were you able to get your hands on those vintage Dr. Pepper bottles? I’d love to serve those at a late summer BBQ! Beautiful photography, as always.

Ugh, I hope it clears up out there…that sounds so stifling. But you managed to make it work:) I love fruit smoothies and need to make them more often for myself. I guess I must have dieting on the brain though because as soon as I saw this, I thought of the Blueprint Cleanse, which I’ll most definitely be doing, post-baby!!
looks like a great liquid diet…and Hendricks is my gin of choice too…especially with tonic and a cucumber…

i work in a coffee shop .. so i too have a very liquid diet, even when it’s not so hot!
My boyfriend was out in LA for the daytime emmy’s this past weekend, and I’ve heard the above (most specifically the last image – we love out G&Ts!) was the only way to survive!

Oh I love smoothies! Looks yummy. Have yet to try a gin and tonic, but vodka tonics are pretty tasty too. I wish the weather was warmer here!

Dublin Dr Pepper — there’s nothing else like it. My hometown is about 30 miles from the old Dr Pepper plant. That’s the only kind I drink!

Limeade is my favorite. I’ve been hooked on it all summer long!
When my LA gal pal told me it got up to 108, I couldn’t believe it. And I’ve been whining about the nineties. Geesh. I could kill several iced lattes a day, even when it’s not smoldering. Ah ha
yay it’s my tray! i’ve been doing pomegranate martinis this summer, the drink is so last year but i just perfected the recipe (ie. use a mix!)

hmm that limeade looks so good. we haven’t had the temperatures high enough here since early june to enjoy a thirst-quenching drink like that. infact, i’ve been drinking tea and coffee to keep warm mostly!

The Dr. Pepper (made with real sugar) is Dublin Dr. Pepper, made at a specific bottling plant in Texas, I think. Not available everywhere, but you can order it directly from the plant. A case of it was a big hit as a Christmas present last year. http://www.dublindrpepper.com
Ill be honest, I am a huge lover of your taste and still have not seen one piece of your jewelry since its all sold out by the time I get there – how is that?! It must be amazing! Can you post pictures of these fabulous pieces so we can see what all the fuss is about? Plus, went to the Barney’s Warehouse Sale in search of the Fendi wedges with the clear sides, then realized you got your hands on them!
