Lusting for Leather
Queen’s Wardrobe Blouse, Forever 21 Shorts, Foley + Corinna Bag, Vintage Jewelry, Jeffrey Campbell Wedges
Up until recently, I was pretty skeptical about wearing leather. Sure, it was fine on my feet (here and here) and worn on my arm (this bag will always be my favorite), but it seemed a bit too rocker chick for my decidedly girly style. After I added this to my closet though, my feelings shifted almost instantly. As long as I add some frilly, feminine details, it feels completely natural and the juxtaposition is definitely something I’m going to be experimenting with this fall.

I never get tired of girliness paired with leather–they’re made for each other. I love those wedges more and more everytime I see them!
I felt (or should I say feel) the same way about leather! I have a few leather items here and there, but I’ve never been able to pull off the leather pants or shorts. Maybe I should give them another try! Starting off slow is better than not starting at all, right??

I totally agree with you…I still haven’t taken the plunge to buy a piece of leather clothing though…I’m still looking for that oh-so-perfect soft faux leather jacket that looks like leather…I’m not sure though if anything faux can compare to the soft feel and smell of the real deal.

this outfit is gorgeous! your legs look fabulous and as you say, it is the perfect combination of feminine/girly and rocker chick. I have a sweet pair of leather pants that I rocked for all of my 20s that I had custom made on a trip to visit family in Argentina and I love them but it will be A WHILE until they fit again if they ever do…bodies change with age never mind with babies!
They are definitely a piece that I will save forever and ever and hopefully Lucia will rock em one day…those and the suede pair too!

Normally I would say NO WAY to anything leather for pants or shorts but you may have changed my way of thinking. I also love that these can transport into Fall as well with some colorful tights and a blazer! Love!
