Labor Day Getaway

September 6th, 2011

{Lavender from the farmers’ market}

Our trip to Portland was fantastic. I loved the tree-lined streets, the friendly people, and the wonderful, farm-fresh food. We hit up almost all of the places we had planned on (favorites included: Pine State Biscuits, the Saturday morning market at PSU, DOC, The Waffle Window, wine country, Teardrop Lounge, and Simpatica) and still managed to find some downtime to enjoy our hotel (Hotel Deluxe). I have a busy week ahead and leave for New York on Monday, proving just how much the lazy days of summer are officially over.

    I’m sooo with you about the fact that the lazy days of summer seem to have come to a screeching halt after Labor Day weekend. Your trip looks and sounds fabulous, though, so you clearly ended summer on a high note. Hope you have a fabulously productive week before going off to NYC! :)
