How To: Neon Nails

July 8th, 2009

There are few things more relaxing than sinking into a lazy boy chair in a nail salon to get your hands pampered and massaged.  Of course this comes with a price (usually upwards of $30), which is why I’ve learned how to give myself a manicure that rivals most salons.  Here are my steps for recreating the professional experience with a trendy twist: the neon nail.

  • Rebecca

Just curious. No bottom or top coat?

  • Tricia V

I always skip the top coat when I do an “at-home” manicure, too. :)

I love it, I do it the same way! Still, even if I like Essie so much, I’d rather use OPI polishes. What do you think?

Wondering what color you would do your toes if you do the bright color on nails or vise versa?

Always file to one way. Use basecoat, then the colour finish it with topcout and nailclippers are bad for your nails, it’s better to file than to clip.

I’m doing the same, but with Essie A Crewed Interest and a topcoat.

Love the neon! I think the best way to wear them is short. It seems like its too much color on a longer nail.

Since you are a fellow beauty blogger I thought I would let you knwo about my first ever giveawy on my site! Its worth $200 of beauty products … http://borntobeblonde.com/beauty-giveaway/
