How To: Beachy Waves

A few weeks ago, I posted this make-up tutorial and received follow-up requests for a lesson on how to create loose waves. I’ve heard about a million different ways to curl your hair, but this five-step process has proven to work the best.

I’d recommend buying a wand curling iron and just using that. Way easier than this. AND works like a charm.

Ah, SERIOUSLY?! I can never get my hair to look that perfect. This model really has perfect highlights for curls too. My hair is just plain brown and never gets as much body. I always end up frying the ends of my hair too without trying. Better keep practicing.

Any other good recommendations for a curling iron? Or where to find the curling iron you recommended? I called the local beauty supply place and then only carry “Hot Shot Tools”? Which is apparently made by the same company?

You make it look so easy! Curling irons definitely work best without the clamp. I love my curling wand! (P.S. my friend actually took off the clamp on hers, and its much easier to use!)

I have 7 kids, some are old and some are young. One of my daughters is in fifth grade, and she is graduating. I have this wand I bought a long time ago, but it didn’t work on her hair very well. My oldest daughter visited us to see her graduate, and I told her to bring a good curling iron. She brought a Hot Tools and I didn’t think it would work well, but she curled it this way and it looked beautiful in a side pig tail. And if you have any kids, it is very cute if you curl the bangs just slightly and make the rest big and wavy! CUTE! Thanks so much for this wonderful idea!

This looks fantastic! I just bought a Hot Tools curling iron from TJ MAXX and I love it! The barrel is only one inch thick but it still works great for beachy hair.
