After a brief stint with bronchitis last week, I was given some of the best advice I’ve ever received. My best friend said, ‘When you’re sick, treat yourself like a kitten.’ As you can see, I took her recommendation to heart and immediately bought myself Gryson’s Hannah bag. Whether I was high on Sudafed or it was simply the lack of sleep, my new purse should be arriving momentarily and it’s my most highly anticipated purchase of 2009. Then again, we are only 13 days in.

My married girl friends always tell me to treat myself like princess before kids because this is the only time I can be truly selfish and buy whatever I want without regards for another’s needs. After kids, I only see them buying stuff for the kids first and themselves last. Of course, there is a nagging husband asking why does anyone need so many bags. : )
