Giving Thanks

November 25th, 2010

{Table setting last year}

Thanksgiving isn’t a holiday that’s celebrated everywhere, but the premise is simple; be thankful for what you have.   I have so much to be grateful for this year and I can’t wait to get home to Mill Valley to celebrate with my family and friends.   As is tradition at the table, we all say one thing that we’re thankful for, and since last year’s answer of “mashed potatoes” didn’t go over well (I was famished!), I’ve been reminding myself of all the things that matter most.  At the top of my list?  Waking up each morning next to someone who makes me feel happy, loved and appreciated.  Happy Thanksgiving.

    I love your photos! I just bought a DSLR and was wondering if you could recommend any cool camera bags? The one that came with my camera is very techy, and I’d love a leather/vintage one to replace it. Any thoughts you have would be great! Thanks!

    We don’t celebrate thanksgiving in Brazil (and I don’t even know when it is) but your reason was so sweet I wished we had it here too!

    So cute. LOL yes it’s horrible having to do the thanks when your starved, but I think each country does have a Holiday similar to ours out there at least I know Canada does and theirs is in October so I think everyone can relate. Personally my fave Holidays are in Japan they have a whole week called Golden Week that’s a new Holiday each day…now that’s something to be thankful for.

    We have that tradition as well- saying what we’re grateful for. It would be cool if the whole world adopted this tradition (minus the American pilgrim part) and made it about being thankful and getting together with family.
