Girls Weekend
Every few months, I have a insatiable desire to visit the desert. There’s something so therapeutic about the dry heat, plentiful drinks and quiet evenings that you simply can’t recreate anywhere else. This trip will be slightly different than ones from the past (seen here, here and here) since it’s a Bachelorette Party, but I can’t wait to slip into my bikini and fall asleep in the sun.

Oh, have SO much fun! I am trying to plan a girls’ weekend now for my friends and it is so hard. Once you hit 30, it becomes a game of who’s pregnant, who can’t drink, who just had a baby and can’t leave yet?! I have to quickly plan it and send out the deets before anyone else gets knocked up! The weather here in London is just starting to brighten and we have temperatures of a whopping 15 degrees today – trust me, that’s warm if you’re a girl from the north of England!

I absolutely LOVE the desert. I vacationed in Palm Springs a few years ago and I fell in love with California in general, but also the sultry dry heat and the constant sunshine. I’m jealous that you’re going!

I want a girls weekend. My friend and I want to go to a spa after we graduate from grad school and just relax for a few days. I need one.
Sounds like a wonderful bachelorette weekend. I am dying for sunny skies and pool weather but here in ATL we are still suffering from below normal temps… I’ll be thinking of your weekend fun as my friend and I find excuses to cruise around with the top down this weekend. I do enjoy the desert, but I’m more of a Santa Fe-desert type of girl rather than Palm Springs. But do enjoy yourself… can’t wait to see photos from your visit!

Emily, if in Palm Springs this weekend, stop in at the new Riviera if you haven’t already been. Great for drinks, and be sure to see the trefoil pool!
Was just there last weekend–went up to 4 feet of snow at the top of the tram and back down into high 70′s in Tahquitz Canyon (not bachelorette type of fun, but put it on your list for next year’s trip).
