Fourth of July

Long weekends are always welcomed, but there’s something special about the 4th of July. When I was little, my parents would take me to the county fair and after going on all the rides and playing every carnival game, we’d head across the highway to A&W (one of the only fast food restaurants in Marin) and drink Root Beer floats while we watched the fireworks. It’s been twenty years since then, but I still get positively giddy about the holiday. This weekend I can’t wait to hang out with friends, grill up some good food and spend a lot of time at the beach.
