I prefer low-maintenance guys, but when it comes to dressing up, there’s nothing sexier than a tuxedo. It’s the ultimate celebration of a man’s style and such a classic way to make a statement in a sleek, form-fitted suit. Below are my top 5 favorite movie moments when the actor nearly stole the show from his leading lady while wearing a tux.
5. “Casino Royal”- The notion that James Bond can look just as good dressed up as he does engaged in espionage is a true feat.
4. “Legend of Bagger Vance”- This look was such a nice departure from Matt Damon’s golf gear that he donned the whole movie.
3. “Atonement” – James McAvoy was such a handsome complement to this infamous, emerald dress.
2.” Titanic”- I still remember the audible sighs that were let out in the theater when Leonardo DiCaprio appeared on screen looking like this.
1. “Meet Joe Black” – Brad Pitt made the notion of death sound inviting.
What is your favorite tuxedo moment from a movie?
I think Titanic is one of my favourites too! However, Leo is wearing a tail coat (white tie), not a tux!

oh my. bond. james bond hands down.
but i love it when my casual BF slips into a suit and is mr.professional. ah……!!! But I have to admit I’m more of a clean cut suit girl than a tux. They sometimes look too stiff.

Oooh…tuxedos are smashing to begin with, especially when worn by such handsome specimens as Matt, James, Leo, Brad and Daniel.
Let us not forget about The Redford and The Newman wearing their tuxes in ‘The Sting’! Classic.
I love old movies….which many of these exhume. People just knew how to dress better then, in my opinion. Even when my mom was in her twenties, she said that they never went out on Fridays because the girls spent that night together, getting ready for Saturday night (curlers and choosing outfits and such).
Sounds good to me! I just recently went to our films wrap party and posted some of those pics on my blog. I had a really simple black Shelly Segal dress evening gown on. I prefer to look unfussy when I’m throwing a few back…heh heh.

James Bond in that tux made me utter, “double ooh, ohh, oohh!!!”

My mom and I literally cannot do anything if Titanic comes on. We’ve been walking out the door and Titanic has popped on the TV and we’ve had to take off our coats and sit down and watch. I just love the scene when Jack comes in in his tux. Definitely a fave. Anytime you know the guy is somewhat out of his element in the tux, it’s so endearing.

oh man i love leo in titanic. i also love christian bale in batman begins in his suit, le swoon.
Ohhhhh yes, nothing hotter than a man in a penguin suit. But you forget the all important man in a DISHEVELED tux! With the cuffs undone and the bowtie untied and the top few buttons open. I’m sure I’ve seen Clive Owen do this…but I can’t think when. Maybe it was just in my fantasies!
