Food for Thought

May 30th, 2012

Despite what I show on my site, my day-to-day eating habits are actually rather bland – cereal, a mid-morning snack of almonds and dried fruit, a sandwich for lunch, and some sort of pasta or fish at night (with sweets throughout the day, of course). I feel extremely fortunate that I live in a city that truly celebrates food, from the most gourmet dining experiences to cool new food trucks that pop up all the time. This past Saturday, I found the ideal balance – a great brunch at Milo & Olive and then over to Santa Monica Seafood where we picked up two dozen oysters to eat in the back yard later with a bottle of white wine later that evening. It was quite possibly the best day of dining I’ve had in a while.

I love oysters! I’m so jealous, you have fresh seafood readily available. Living in Arizona, I have to buy seafood at Whole Foods or AJ’s Fine Grocery store for the best quality, but still not as fresh. :-) .

I am always trying to find new ways to ‘spice’ up my eating habbits, but find that I always stick to the same old.

It is great to see that I’m not the only one. I love where you live thou with all the amazing food on your door step.
