Cupcakes and Cashmere

Five Things

December 2nd, 2011

{Window display + cabs at Tiffany and Co.}

I would move to New York simply for the holiday decorations. I was reluctant about such a last-minute trip immediately after Thanksgiving, but it’s been a remarkably productive week and this city truly is magical this time of year. I packed entirely incorrectly (I was bare legged in 35° weather one morning), so I’m looking forward to returning to sunny California for a relaxing weekend.

    NYC is definitely beautiful around the holidays.. the energy is amazing.. i think being a resident i sometimes take it for granted.. i walk by Rockefeller Center everyday to go to work and totally ignore the tree and the other day i had to stop myself and take it all in..

    New York is such an inspirational city! It happened to me too one time where I ended up not quite bare-legged, but I definitely had to run into a closest store to get some scarf&gloves :) Thank you for pretty pictures!

    Bare legs in 35 degrees? How did that happen?! That sounds awful. These pictures are gorgeous. I wish I wouldn’t have canceled my trip to New York this weekend! Too bad it wasn’t snowing, although that probably would have been terrible with your packing situation :(
