Five Things

{Sparkly shoes thrown over a telephone wire}
This week was satisfyingly chaotic – in the sense that I felt overworked and exhausted, but still able to take the time to appreciate those hauntingly beautiful moments (hence the first picture). After my quick trip to New York, I’m happy to be back in L.A. just in time for the weekend.
{Spotted gold case for my favorite new toy/phone}
{Glass canister for matches with a striking surface on the bottom}
{Metallic polishes set - both the colors and bottles feel party-ready}
{Completely unnecessary purchase that tastes as good/fun as it looks}

Just a fyi…shoes thrown over a telephone wire are supposed to be an indication that drugs are sold in the neighborhood. I used to live in Capitol Hill in Seattle and while I never saw glamorous shoes like those, there were lots and lots of sneakers thrown over telephone wires.
Hey Emily! Love your Five Things Fridays
Cute pic but just FYI shoes over a telephone hanger mean a drug deal is taking place there…
I like the nail polish.

I sell the matches in the vintage glass jar at my store in Charlottesville, VA. We can’t keep them in stock! They are so cute and they look great on a counter or table with your favorite candle!
I really know how you felt! Love all the nail polish!

Oooh those pebbles look brilliant! I’d love to pretend to someone that I was eating stones and chomp a couple of these! I just popped over from Twobirds as you were cited as one of their favourites and well- cashmere and cupcakes- sounds great!
You know, I *so* do not need a canister for matches, but I love it anyway! Maybe if I buy a few more scented candles I’ll have an excuse?
cool items
I love chocolate pebbles! I get them whenever I see them

Those glittery heels are by an artist named Manny Castro in support for a gallery show he had in town!
Those chocolate pebbles! :O If it weren’t labeled properly I’d have thought they were ordinary pebbles! I want some. C:

Love these nail polish !!!
Adore the gold dot phone cover!
I am loving Deborah Lippman’s holiday glitters. Her party-ready set is sitting on my desk just waiting to be tested…
Love this post! The shoes might be from artist Tescia Seufferlein- know she does that as part of her installation art in Brooklyn. Looks similar to the one she did.

hahaha! I think I’ve seen these shoes off of Fairfax… is that where you were? Love your blog!
LOVE your blog. your style is gorgeous and inspiring! just so the readers know, the matchstick bottles are done by jen pearson in oakland. i went to grad school with her, and an incredible bay area designer! list her name in the description if you can. it’s great to give indie designers the recognition.
